"I sketched every morning in a notebook a small circular drawing,… which seemed to correspond to my inner situation at the time…. Only gradually did I discover what the mandala really is:…the Self, the wholeness of the personality, which if all goes well is harmonious."
The Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung knew about the importance of mandalas and introduced them into his therapies. In a new project, which demands improving concentration in an ambience, I am using mandalas.
I am fascinated about mandalas. Their beauty makes you feel good when you look at them and at the same time, it brings you balance.
Therefore I think they can be useful in interiors, if you don't exaggerate in colour and size. If you do exaggerate in size (as at the pictures above), them be minimalist in colour ;)
